A short walk from the R2 Costa Calma Hotel, or a short bike ride from / taxi from lot of hotels in Costa Calma, beach resort, the centre is located at what is widely recognised as one of the very best windsurf and kitesurf spots on the island, with the cleanest wind. The off/cross offshore direction, with no obstruction behind, creates glassy flat water and is one for the best blasting / speed sailing spots in Europe.

The focus of the centre is on offering a friendly and safe environment for all levels of kiter, windsurfer or wingfoiler, from complete beginner upwards. The clean wind and flat water makes for easy progression for beginners and improvers. There is a good jet ski safety service at the centre which is included for those pre-booking equipment storage, lessons or rental with Planet.

While you are kiting, windsurfing or wingfoiling, your family is only few meters away from the shore and can watch, take pictures or read a book. The school offers the latest kites and boards from Cabrinha, Twintips, strapless boards and also different wing-foil boards and Cabrhina wings as well as a full Patrik/Tabou range of windsurfing equipment. If you want to try kitesurfing, windsurfing or wingfoiling, you can check out our different courses, private and group lessons for a maximum of 2 people. The highly qualified, motivated and flexible instructors will quickly take you to the next level: For all courses we offer headsets and jetskis, so you don't have to wait for instructions or walk back long distances. This bay is also known as a mega flat water spot, which guarantees strong windy days in summer. If the waves are too big, which can happen in winter, they go to the nearby lagoon. However, it is not always possible to do lessons there due to the low water level.

Terms & Conditions: We ONLY rent kite surfing equipment to clients who have a valid qualification card (IKO) and are competent independent riders. if you do not have a qualification card, we can book a refresher lesson for you.

Wingfoiling at Matas Bay Watersports Centre

Fuerteventura is ideal for wing foils ... With deep water and predominantly offshore wind that produces incredibly flat water, Matas Bay a great spot to practice wing foiling. The centre sotcks a wide range of different-sized wing boards and wings for rent. alternatively, you can book private lessons with us to get to know and love the fascination of wing foiling. Especially on very light wind days, you can float over the water with 12 knots and a 5-meter wing... the bay is not dependent on the tides and therefore you can sail all day long. Wingfoiling in Fuerteventura means being in the water all year round in pleasant temperatures. You are also welcome to rent a wetsuit, and wing equipment from us if you can wing foil independently.RENT Fuerteventura offers you excellent conditions to practice wing foiling all year round. You don’t need to be super-fit to kitesurf and the kit is lightweight, so you don’t need lots of muscle strength either. But of course, a decent level of fitness will help you to progress faster. Your instructor will be there to support you, coach you, and more importantly, keep you safe through the learning process. We will schedule your course to start on your first full day, but you must remain available to the school to work around local wind and sea conditions, as well as instructor availability.
