The crew is composed of full time, experienced instructors from all around the world who speak in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, and Russian.
The centre is equipped with only the best equipment, in the best location on the beach, which makes learning faster, easier and more fun. There is enough gear to accommodate everyone, even during the busiest seasons. The gear is always checked and is in top working order.
They also offer tours and activities to complete your vacation or to please your non-ocean family people. The onsite shop is filled with all the gear needed for windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, and surfing. From beach clothing to a large range of accessories, you will find what you need.
Whether you are an avid windsurfer, Stand Up paddleboarder, Wingfoiler, or just learning to windsurf, wingfoil, paddleboard, or surf, the warm water of Cabarete, you will find an experience you will not soon forget!
Cabarete Beach is one of the natural wonders of the Dominican Republic. Among its many unique features, it is one of the longest stretches of uninterrupted beach on the island of Hispaniola. The main bay of Cabarete, where the Center is located, is over a mile long. Incorporating the beaches that continue east and west beyond the bay, there is nearly 28 uninterrupted miles of sandy beach!
With a year-round 80 degrees F (27 C) water temperature, trade winds, it’s all you need to enjoy your favorite sport!
Sailing Conditions / Safety: Cabarete is situated in a windy bay with a protective reef about 3/4 of a mile offshore. It is an exciting place to sail with side shore winds averaging 15-25 knots during the afternoon hours. In the morning beginners will find lighter winds. On the reef, you’ll find small waves in summer and larger waves in winter.
You will be briefed on the local sailing conditions and safety measures when you arrive at the centre. We have a boat for emergency rescues only.
For our non-sailor guests, or to entertain you when you take a break from your windsurfing session, boogie boards, kayaks, surf boards, and stand-up paddle boards are available during opening hours of the Cabarete centre.
Aside from the activities available at the Center, there are so many fun things to do in and around Cabarete! From mountain biking to kayaking, white-water rafting, canyoning, surfing, horseback riding, shopping, volleyball, fitness, yoga and SUP Yoga classes.
