Coco Reef

Coco Reef Resort & Spa is a classic beachfront hotel located in Crown Point on Tobago’s southwest coast. It sits on ten acres of beautifully maintained tropical gardens and enjoys a sheltered private beach with calm, swimmable waters. This is a traditional Caribbean-style resort, ideal for couples, families and mature travellers looking for a relaxed and charming seaside escape. The setting is elegant but unpretentious, with colonial-style architecture, tiled verandas, white balustrades, and lush landscaping filled with hibiscus, palms and bougainvillaea.

The atmosphere is peaceful and refined, with a strong focus on comfort, hospitality and personal service. The resort has its own enclosed bay, which makes the beach calm and safe for swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding. Guests often spend their days enjoying the quiet beachfront, sipping drinks under the shade of a parasol, or wandering through the manicured gardens.

Rooms at Coco Reef are decorated in a traditional island style, with wicker furniture, tiled floors, bright fabrics and ceiling fans. All rooms are air-conditioned and include a safe, mini fridge, tea and coffee station, en-suite bathroom with shower or bath, and a private terrace or balcony.

The Standard Garden View Rooms are approximately 35 square metres and are set among the tropical gardens. They include either a king-size bed or two doubles and are perfect for couples or friends travelling together.

The Deluxe Ocean View Rooms are similarly sized but offer views over the beach and turquoise sea. These rooms are located closer to the shoreline and feature balconies with direct ocean views.

Junior Suites offer extra space with a separate seating area and garden terrace. These are ideal for guests who want more room to relax indoors, or for those travelling with a child.

One-Bedroom Ocean View Suites are larger still, with a bedroom and separate living room connected by a private hallway. These suites are perfect for longer stays or for guests who enjoy a little more privacy and comfort.

There are also a few Two-Bedroom Villas located within the gardens. Each features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area and a private terrace. These are well suited for families or friends travelling together who want shared space and independence.

For those seeking the highest level of privacy and luxury, the resort offers a small collection of VIP suites, including the Sunset Villa and Presidential Suite. These are individually designed and enjoy panoramic ocean views from private, elevated locations within the grounds.

The resort’s freshwater swimming pool is set just behind the beach, surrounded by loungers and shaded by palm trees. It’s a quiet, scenic spot for reading or enjoying a drink. The beach itself is one of Coco Reef’s standout features — enclosed by a protective reef, the water remains calm and shallow, making it perfect for safe swimming and snorkelling. Water sports such as kayaking and paddleboarding are available.

Dining at the resort takes place across two main venues. The main restaurant offers buffet breakfasts and themed evening dinners, with both international and Caribbean cuisine. There’s also a more casual beachfront bar and grill serving light lunches, seafood and snacks throughout the day. In the evenings, live music is often performed in the lounge or on the terrace.

The resort’s small spa provides massages, body treatments, facials and manicures in a calm, relaxed setting. There is also a fitness room available with basic gym equipment for guests who wish to stay active during their stay.

Coco Reef offers a range of additional activities including scuba diving, snorkelling tours, boat trips and excursions around the island. Tennis courts and bicycles are also available on request.

Families are welcome at the resort, and children’s services include cots, extra beds, high chairs and babysitting on request. The safe beach and quiet gardens make it a particularly good choice for those travelling with young children or elderly family members.

Other services include 24-hour front desk, daily housekeeping and evening turndown service, luggage storage, laundry, dry cleaning, and optional airport transfers. Free parking is available, and Wi-Fi is offered in public areas.

Coco Reef Resort & Spa is a warm and inviting place that blends tropical beauty with classic Caribbean hospitality. It’s ideal for guests who want a relaxed beachfront stay in comfortable surroundings, with easy access to local shops, restaurants and the laid-back charm of Tobago.
